Juzenia Tirado-Carrion
Founder & CEO
Juzenia Tirado-Carrion a Bronx native is an Early Childhood graduate from Bank Street School of Education. Juzenia has dedicated her career to serving the children in the Bronx where she was born and raised. Throughout her career she has served as a Preschool Director, program director for middle schoolers, preschool teacher and nanny for families. As an educator for many years in the South Bronx, the poorest neighborhood in the Bronx, Juzenia witnessed the injustice in education on a day to day basis. Children in other parts of the city have access to a range of materials and resources, meanwhile some of the schools in the Bronx barely have crayons. As an educator who loves the Bronx, Juzenia decided to open her own school in order to be sure to implement the teaching approaches she believes in which would bring a rich learning environment to her community.
When Juzenia was asked, “Why do you teach?” she responded, “ To advocate for my economically disadvantaged students of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.” Juzenia believes “We all have different reasons as to why we were inspired to enter this profession. A profession that requires us to keep learning. As Junia Yearwood states, “I am not a perfect gardener. However, I keep cultivating.”
Juzenia is dedicated to partnering with families, empowering and equipping caregivers to take ownership of their child’s growth and development. When Juzenia is not working in the South Bronx, she enjoys spending time outside with her husband and daughter Catalina. Looking forward to working alongside families in the South Bronx!

Esthefani Carmona Zurita
Esthefani Carmona Zurita, is a Business Administrator in the City of Cartagena, Colombia. Esthefani came to this country with the aim of not only growing professionally but as an individual. She is characterized by being fun and passionate about children and thus transmitting joy to them. It should be noted that Esthefani is the eldest daughter of her three sisters, so from a young age she felt the need to help her mother care for her siblings. One of her life stages that led her to discover the love of working with children was when she volunteered for recreational activities for children in her country. When arriving in the United States, her first job was at A House on Beekman, as a teacher’s assistant with early childhood children. Esthefani categorizes working with children as the purest love. If you are wondering why Esthefani is an Administrator and works with children, she would easily answer, “is not where you think you should be but where God places you!” She is thrilled to be working in the South Bronx community where she currently resides. On her personal time she enjoys exploring the City with her husband and son!

Maylin Guerrero Pájaro
Maylin Guerrero Pájaro was born in Cartagena, Colombia, a challenging city for childhood education. She graduated from the Soledad Acosta de Samper National Female High School where she began to develop artistic skills that allowed her to help many children in the neighborhood where she grew up. From this moment, she felt the need to teach what she knew and after each class, she was ready to go meet with the children of this low-income neighborhood where she found one of her great passions. As she studied her technical degree, she also discovered that teaching was made easier for her because of her empathy and affection towards others.
Maylin understood that teaching and serving society was part of her essence and was an inherent characteristic of her that filled her heart. For this reason, although she lives in the United States, she helps from a distance the children she left behind in her old neighborhood in order to leave a small seed that will impact at some point in the future of some of them. Maylin has also volunteered in a 2 year old classroom with A house on Beekman.
On her free time, Maylin enjoys spending time with her son Danilo, and daughter Sofía, whom she must raise based on the values of love and giving without receiving anything in return.
